The HCC resin range is a technical line developed entirely by our R&D&I team, designed to meet the specific demands of dams and hydraulic infrastructures. Their formulation is optimized to ensure adhesion, volumetric stability, penetration capacity and reliable performance even under adverse hydraulic conditions.

These resins significantly outperform conventional market products, offering precise and durable solutions for crack sealing, structural consolidation and leakage control in critical areas.

HCC Resins

HCC has its own range of epoxy resins developed entirely by our R&D&I team, specifically formulated for sealing cracks in structures requiring high mechanical performance, making them ideal for leakage sealing in dams and hydraulic infrastructures. These resins have been optimized to ensure high effectiveness under adverse hydraulic conditions, including flowing water, high pressures and complex crack geometries.

Their design responds to the need to intervene in critical points where precise penetration capacity, reliable adhesion to the substrate and long‑term volumetric stability are required. Their performance has been validated through internal and external testing, and their application on site has demonstrated high efficiency even in areas with difficult access or demanding structural requirements.

All our resins are CE‑marked and comply with the requirements of EN 1504‑5. We classify our resins according to viscosity, adhesion and flexibility, adapting each product to the specific pathology, crack opening and pressure or flow conditions.

HCC Resin Range

The HCC resin range adapts to any type of crack, hydraulic condition or structural requirement, offering specific solutions for each pathology.

Frequently asked questions about HCC resins Frequently Asked Questions About HCC Resins

HCC resins are specifically formulated for dams and hydraulic infrastructures, where pressure, flow and crack geometry are far more demanding than in conventional structures.

Unlike standard market resins, HCC resins offer:
  • Volumetric stability even under variable hydraulic loads.
  • High adhesion on wet or saturated substrates.
  • Controlled penetration capacity for complex cracks.
  • Reliable performance under flowing water.
  • Specific formulations for each viscosity range and pathology.
These characteristics allow intervention in critical points where conventional products fail due to shrinkage, loss of adhesion or material washout.
Yes. All HCC resins are CE‑marked and comply with EN 1504‑5 requirements for injection products.

They have also undergone:
  • Internal laboratory tests under real hydraulic conditions.
  • External validation in independent technological centers.
  • Underwater and active‑crack performance tests.
  • Adhesion, viscosity, stability and mechanical resistance tests.
Their performance has been verified on site for more than two decades in gravity dams, arch dams, hydroelectric plants and underground structures.
Selection depends on crack opening, flow, pressure and structural requirements:
  • HCC‑AV (High Viscosity): wide cracks, structural consolidation and areas with intense washout.
  • HCC‑MV (Medium Viscosity): medium cracks, moderate leakages and general consolidation.
  • HCC‑BV (Low Viscosity): very fine cracks, deep penetration and microcrack sealing.
  • HCC‑IJ (Flexible): live joints, differential movements and areas requiring deformability.
Each formulation is designed for a specific hydraulic and mechanical behavior range.
HCC resins are designed to maintain their integrity even under flowing water.

Their main advantages in hydraulic environments include:
  • Washout resistance during injection.
  • Controlled gel time to prevent drag.
  • Adhesion on wet or saturated substrates.
  • Volumetric stability without shrinkage.
  • Sealing capacity in active cracks with flow.
This allows intervention without drawdown and with minimal impact on operation.
HCC resins are formulated to ensure stable long‑term performance, even in environments subjected to thermal cycles, hydraulic pressure and differential movements.

Their durability is based on:
  • Chemical stability against water, salts and aggressive agents.
  • No shrinkage or volume loss.
  • Permanent adhesion to the substrate.
  • Mechanical resistance maintained over time.
Their behavior has been validated in dams and structures with more than 20 years of monitoring.
Yes. HCC resins are designed to adapt to particularly complex site conditions: narrow galleries, shafts, areas with limited access or cracks with irregular geometry.

Their application is facilitated by:
  • High‑pressure injection equipment designed by HCC.
  • Precise control of flow and pressure.
  • Formulations with viscosities adapted to each pathology.
  • Penetration capacity into microcracks and deep areas.
This allows intervention in critical points without major dismantling or prolonged shutdowns.
